This month is truly golden. The spectacular sunrises and sunsets, golden sea oats, wide open beaches (again), and Labor Day marking the unofficial end of summer. It’s a great time to restore balance, get back to our life routines, nourish our bodies, and find those golden moments of bliss—including pumpkin spice now popping everywhere you go!
Think about the direction you want to take with the change of seasons. Maybe it’s getting back with your program, trying a new activity or perhaps upping your game? If you’re visiting Hatteras Island this month or a resident recovering after a busy summer, you’ll find a there is a local wellness and fitness community offering classes, private bookings, and a host of personalized holistic services to support your wellbeing needs. Being a part of a group or sharing your wellness journey with family and freinds can help you stay motivated, open you up to new experiences, and support your growth.
It’s not always easy. Sometimes we have to learn to roll with the storms and overcome personal challenges to keep going. No matter how small the steps, it is still progress. Do you have a meaningful quote or mantra that gives you clarity, focus or inspiration? Maybe you scribble your goals on post-it notes stuck to the bathroom mirror. How about using hashtags like #justmove to channel your energy? Or finding a friend to buddy-up with, so you both accountable and not go it alone! Remember ‘there is only one way to eat an elephant: one bite at a time.’
